How we started

We opened in 2001 with a simple belief: most people don't want a hundred confusing options — they want a color they love, in a paint that behaves. So we set out to build a smaller, better collection and to make paint that rewards the effort of painting a room. More than twenty years later, that's still the whole idea.

How we make color

Good paint starts with pigment and patience. We load our formulas with more pigment than the budget tins you'll find at a big-box store, which is why our colors read truer and usually cover in two coats instead of three. Every shade in our palette is tested on real surfaces, in real light, before it earns a place in the collection.

Our mission

To make premium color accessible and painting less intimidating — with a curated palette, honest guidance, and paint that holds up for years. We'd rather sell you the right gallon once than the wrong one twice.

What we stand for

• Quality in the can. Richer pigment, cleaner formulas, finishes that last. The paint has to earn its price.
• Honest advice. If you need less paint than you think, we'll tell you. If a cheaper finish suits the job, we'll say so.
